Several factors will determine the time frame. Depending on the environment and the situation each boat may see different results. Typically we see 2-5 years.
No, Ceramlock cannot be washed away or chemically removed, only heavy abrasion will remove the coating.
Once applied, our 900 series needs no other special products to extend the life of the coating, however our 600 and 700 series can be used to refresh hydrophobic and slick properties when desired.
Although they should not be needed, Ceramlock is extremely chemical resistant. A mild soap of your choice will be sufficient in cleaning.
A soft brush or microfiber towel is recommended to clean any surface that is coated. Water and soap are enough to clean most surfaces, avoid heavy scrubbing. Saturate any droppings, blood stains, or bait stains with water for a few minutes and they will wipe right off.
